Affiliations Online Submissions
The following should be noted to ensure eligibility for competitions, and to ensure participants
receive their magazines on time:
• To register for our EN competitions and events starting in September, participants must be affiliated and paid by 11th September 2009 for affiliating manually via County, for those clubs submitting online the date is 18th September 2009. After this first return, Clubs may continue to affiliate their players online at anytime. To be eligible for an EN competition or event, participants must be affiliated and fees paid to EN no less than four days before the competition or event.
• To ensure that full Insurance Cover for a participant is activated for any netball activity, i.e National Training Courses, from 1st September 2009, the participant must ensure that they are affiliated and fees paid to EN no less than four days prior to this event. After 1st September 2009 a participant will not receive Insurance Cover until the 09/10 affiliation is activated and fees paid.

How to become a Registered Club
email lynnj@englandnetball.co.uk with subject heading 'NEW CLUB 09/10' or call England Netball on: 01462 442344 (and ask for Affiliations Dept). You'll need the following information:
• Your club's name
• The county you are affiliating through (if you don't know, call us on the number above)
• Name of your club secretary / contact
• Your club's contact address
• Your club's contact email
We will then activate your Club Login and Password and inform you either via email or letter when this has been done.
If you would rather affiliate manually (we'd prefer online if possible - it's quicker and easier!), contact the County Affiliations Secretary Louise Key as above.
England Netball Insurance
The England Netball insurance scheme is provided with Affiliation, and ensures that Members (referred to in insurance documents as "Registered Participants") are covered for Liability and Personal Accident Insurance, at the level of cover applicable to their category of membership.
This document is intended as a guide only - full terms and conditions apply as detailed in the EN insurance policy document, in association with EN's current Memorandum and Articles, Regulations and Policies. An insurance certificate is sent to every affiliated Club each year, which details the benefit and amounts payable. These documents are available to individuals on request, or can be downloaded from the Members' Login Area on our website (individuals' log in).
Liability
This insurance is designed to provide Liability Cover for the following 5 main areas :-
• Public Liability - legal liability for bodily injury or property damage to third parties, arising out of the activities of England Netball, its affiliated Clubs, Counties, Regions and Registered Participants

The coverage varies according to the category of membership and the netball activity undertaken.
The policy operates when any of the people/groups listed below are engaged in an activity which is "recognised or authorised by England Netball". The activities that EN "recognise and authorise" are detailed in the most current Policies, Rules and Regulations, which the "FAQs" below seek to clarify.
Members are covered as per the schedule of benefits for Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance if they have paid the appropriate Affiliation fee and all other participants in that activity are affiliated. Apart from the circumstances noted in Q1 A below, if any participants are not affiliated. Public Liability cover of EN members is unaffected but Personal Accident cover is reduced to 'Silver' cover:
A Member (Registered Participant) of:
• A Club ('Gold' level cover)

An additional fee may also be paid to obtain the Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurances, for Volunteers of England Netball affiliated Clubs/Leagues (who do not participate in netball activities i.e. administration).
By taking out separate insurance cover with England Netball or taking advantage of the newly introduced 'Silver' cover for netball activity with non members, you must agree to keep a register of all participants at matches, training sessions, etc, for a period of at least three years. This register must be available for England Netball to view at any time or when a claim is submitted.
