Wednesday night saw the start of the Back 2 Netball scheme at Caistor Yarborough Leisure Centre. 25 ladies from the age of 16 to early 50’s attended the first session led by England Netball Development Officer and Community Sports Coach, Louise Key.
’Back to Netball’ is an England Netball scheme providing a gentle introduction to the sport for female players over sixteen years of age. Sessions are coach led and cover basic skill development and court play.
The emphasis of the Back to Netball sessions are non competitive, fun, sociable and designed to build the confidence and abilities of the ladies as well as their fitness. The scheme is due to run for 10 weeks, however, if the ladies decide to further develop and become a club, as in other areas, that would be a bonus and England Netball are here to support them all the way’
Day: Wednesday evening from 8.30pm to 9.30pm
Cost: £3.00 per session.
Venue: Caistor Yarborough Leisure Centre, Caistor.
