Two Lincolnshire schools, Rauceby and Lincolns’ St Hugh’s took first and second places respectively at the Regional High Five finals on Saturday in Northampton. The event saw the top two teams from Lincolnshire, Northants, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Notts come together.
To qualify for the event the two Lincolnshire schools had played matches in their school partnership leagues. After winning these they went to the County finals in May at Louth. At this event the top two teams went forward to the Regionals. St Hugh’s won and Rauceby were runners up at that one.
Maria Blood from St Hugh’s said ‘It was a great day and thanks again to everyone involved. There have always been competitions at this level in Football and it’s great to now see more opportunities for Netball. Perhaps in the future this could go even further - to a national final!’
