My name is Lucy-MayWallis and my main positions are GK/GD for Brigg U19's and seniors. I enjoy my training as it helps me concentrate on the skills needed to perform better, it has helped in my club games as I am getting more interceptions.
I take my netball seriously, so I eat healthily; swim and cycle to keep my endurance and fitness up, which is one of my weak points. To strengthen my upper body; I do 100 passes with my weight ball. In the next few years I would like to achieve NTL level netball.
I would like to thank Vanessa and Mark for all the support they have given me.
My name is Hannah and I play GA & GS for Brigg U19 & seniors – I enjoy learning the new training and the experience NTL is giving me, I am constantly learning new things and I am serious about improving my game.
I play at least 3 times a week and train at least 4, to improve many aspects of my game like fitness or even just shooting. I hope to help my Brigg teams to win this year but also want to give everything in my game so I can achieve everything I can out of NTL.
My Name is Emily and I play GD, WD
and C for Sleaford Barge Netball Club.
I am really enjoying the Regional training and it is helping me develop in many areas, including my accuracy of movement to get well-timed interceptions, a part of the game I love.
The great training I am getting is also helping me to read the game well, anticipating what will happen, and being in the right place to take the game forward.
I will be looking to put all of this training into my games, and to communicate the key skills to my teammates.
My Ultimate goal/Dream is to one-day play for England or Loughborough Lightning.
To do this I know I need to fully commit to my game and train hard to develop my skills and stamina.I believe that you never stop learning in netball, and there are always going to be ways to improve your game!
My name is Emily and I play GA for Brigg and District Seniors and U19’s both in Lincs league and play with the U16’s in a Scunthorpe League. I attended pre-regional training at Loughborough in June/July; these sessions helped massively with my skills, choices and awareness of other players, and worked well in my favour when it came to trialling in October. After being successful at the trials we later received feedback, this meant I was able to go away and work on the aspects of my game that I needed to. The two sessions of regional training I have attended so far has helped me massively on my fitness.
By improving and working on my fitness this has shown when I come back to club and no longer struggle to play a full game of netball! Regional so far has also given me a better knowledge of the types of netball skills I can work on whilst at home or not at club. By the end of the programme I hope my game has improved massively in areas such as fitness, ball skills, the choices I make and awareness of other players on the court. Next season I hope for the club teams I play in to all be playing first division.
In the future I would love to have managed to make it to NTL level and have the experience to play for Loughborough Lightning so I plan to keep training hard!
My name is Sophie and I play C/WA/WD for Brigg and District club in both the under 19's team and the Seniors. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed the regional training sessions as the coaches have really helped me to understand my strengths and weaknesses, also after been tested in many areas I now know what I need to improve on the most to help my game develop which has resulted in me beginning to work hugely on my fitness to increase my stamina to manage a full game at high standards. The training I receive is not only improving on my overall fitness but also the technical skills needed for netball, I am continuously looking to apply this training into my gameplay which is having huge advantages in league matches for my club.
I really enjoy the Regional Training at Loughborough and it has helped me to improve my game play, I am learning new skills and increasing my endurance. The feedback I receive helps me to put it in to my games, improving my ability to read the game more.
I will continue to listen, learn and work hard and with the training and support both from my Club and the Regional Talent will hopefully help me get to NTL level and my dream of course England !.
